The local area is a hotspot for golf with Royal Troon and Trump Turnberry on the doorstep, other nearby courses include Belleisle, Seafield and Dalmilling. The horse Racing Festivals at Ayr Racecourse can be enjoyed throughout the year and make for an entertaining day out. Scotland's culture and history is never far away and a trip to Alloway to visit the Rabbie Burns Birthplace Museum is well worthwhile as is a walk around Culzean Castle which is managed by National Trust for Scotland.

Ayr has excellent transport links to Glasgow with Ayr train station is just a mile from the apartment. Prestwick Airport is 4 miles away for flight connections to the UK and Europe
