Östermalm makes for an interesting contradiction. It’s a posh residential neighbourhood, but it also has the highest concentration of nightclubs in the city, found around Stureplan. Bibliotekstan is the city’s most affluent shopping district, with exclusive Scandinavian and international labels. Östermalm is the most elegant and exclusive part of Stockholm and is often compared to New York’s Upper East Side. This similarity is instantly seen through its impressive buildings and high-end specialty stores, especially around Stureplan Square which is the place for upmarket shopping as well as nightclubs and bars. Foodies can also head to the specialist indoor Östermalmshallen Food Market where they can buy Swedish delicacies and a seafood lunch.

Östermalm centres itself around its parks. One of the most popular is the magnificent Humlegården, which encircles the Royal Library. It is also an area with numerous museums, including the Hallwylska Museum and the ornate Art Nouveau Kungliga Dramatiska Teatern which stand at one end of Strandvägen Boulevard. Take a walk along Strandvägen, and enjoy the magnificent buildings and wonderful seaside views.

Cancellation policy for Kommendörsgatan 

For reservations between 1-4 months, two weeks’ written notice of termination will apply. For reservations between 4-11 months, one month’s written notice of termination will apply. For longstay contracts longer than 12 months, three calendar months’ written notice of termination will apply. Please also note that any cancellation will result in a cancellation fee and additionally the rate may change dependent on eventual length of time stayed e.g. a reduced stay may result in an increased rate.

For reservations with tenancy agreement signed by both parties, 3 calendar months’ written notice of termination will apply.
